Pizza

I now finally have an excuse to post my favourite Olsen twins-related thing ever.  Gimme PIZZA!  I like to watch this video every now and again and try to reconcile the faces of these twin munchkins slathering strange ingredients on to pizzas and their £29,000 alligator backpacks from The Row, as well as entertaining the possibility that pizza topped with Chinese food could potentially be a good thing.
Melbourne-based jewellery designer Lucy Folk has long been injecting her foodie presence in the jewellery world - taco chips, sushi rice grains, sunflower seeds, orange slices - anything that can be dehydrated and cast into metal shapes is a possible inspiration source.  For her latest collection, Folk turns to pizza and the ingredients that go into making the perfect slice.  Anchovies, slices of mushroom, olive pips and parsley are cast in oxidised blackened silver, silver and gold. Pepperoni earrings glint with glass baguettes, opal and cubic zirconia hinting at the globules of yum yum fat that make up my personal all-time pizza topping face.  Strands of mozzarella are knotted into gold rings and earrings.  Chef of Melbourne pizza restaurant Mr Wolf, Karen Martini was called in for a "dough throw" session, where strands of the yeasty carby goodness were cast into necklaces or crocheted into dough-ball esque formations.  Her signature friendship bracelets are now anchored by triangular pizza slices or anchovy slivers and her powder coated steel chains reflect the saucy reds of a pizza ingredient palette.  For the final piece de resistance, together with local crochet artist Rochelle King, they cook up two pizza collars - margherita for the purists and pepperoni for the meat lovers - which fortunately won't break down into a sloppy mess if you attempt a few pizza throws in the air.
What I'm itching to do of course is to don a ton of this for a real pizza party a la Olsens.  Folk wisely chose Pizza Pilgrims as her favoured London pizza suppliers (she sent out a pizza as an actual invitation to her London press day) but obviously Maletti's or Franco Manca pizzas are also contenders for providing molto tasty pizza action at my hypothetical pizza party.  Chocolate sauce and whipped cream are of course non-optional.  If only so that I can rap "Whipped cream pouring like WATERFALLS!"
