Jim Carrey Wears Enormous Prosthetic Feet, Tiny Angel Wings to Elton John's 2013 Oscars Party

Jim Carrey, Elton John Oscars Party
Jim Carrey probably won't be making any Oscars best-dressed lists this year, but he didn't have to worry about anyone else wearing the same outfit!
The Yes Man star wore enormous prosthetic feet and tiny angel wings to Elton John's AIDS Foundation Academy Awards Viewing Party.
"Goin' to Elton's party. Great cause!" the 51-year-old actor tweeted. "Wearing the perfect outfit to express my awkward spiritual journey. ;^}"
While there, he mingled with stars likeSteven Tyler Dave GrohlRandy Jackson and, of course, Elton John.

"Elton's party was fun," he wrote afterwards. "My big feet and little angel wings were an expression of my somewhat awkward spiritual journey. I'm a #Strangel. O;^P"
And while some members of the media were quick to say Carrey was wearing "Hobbit feet," the man himself confirmed (with an emoticon wink, nonetheless) that his oversized appendages were not an homage to Middle-earth.
Hey, a guy can wear enormous fake feet for any reason he likes!

2013 Oscars Best & Worst: Argo, Pi, Michelle Obama, Jennifer Lawrence, Seth MacFarlane's "Boobs"

Best + Worst, Jennifer Lawrence, Ben Affleck, Michelle Obama, Seth MacFarlane, Channing Tatum
The 2013 Oscars are finally here, and so all the shocks and surprises you've been anticipating about stars such as Jennifer LawrenceBen AffleckDaniel Day-Lewis,Anne Hathaway, and movies like LincolnArgoSilver Linings Playbook and more are happening tonight. Plus, things you weren't expecting, like a tie or Channing Tatum dancing with Charlize Theron or Jack Nicholson introducing first lady Michelle Obama or the show ending in under three hours.
Plus, we find out how far host Seth MacFarlane decides to go in front of the massive world audience. (The answer: pretty far.)
But one thing is a lock tonight: This is the only awards show where Homeland isn't going to win everything.
So let's get to all the surprising, shocktastic moments of the 2013 Oscars.
2013 Oscars Show, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Seth MacFarlane, Daniel Radcliffe
Biggest Future Shock: Nobody would ever expect to see William Shatner at the Oscars, but there he was as Star Trek's Capt. Kirk in an opening sequence that allowed Seth MacFarlane to trot out a whole bunch of inappropriate material. Using new technology for inane purposes—isn't that what the App store is for?
Biggest Boob: Though there was plenty of worry about what MacFarlane would say in his monologue, perhaps not enough worry was expended on what he would sing. Case in point:  "We Saw Your Boobs," the Oscar host's celebration of some women's body of work.
That Totally Socks: Considering it features drinking, drugs and inappropriate behavior, we wouldn't be surprised if MacFarlane's retelling of Flight with sock puppets becomes his next Fox TV show.
Did You Know Channing Tatum Was Nominated for an Oscar? Well, he wasn't. But we'll give host MacFarlane one thing: He found more than one way to get the unnominated hunkyMagic Mike star onstage, thereby ensuring the Oscar trophy wasn't the only guy who looks stunning shirtless.
2013 Oscars Show, Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Jeremy Renner, Samuel L. Jackson
First Big Shocker: Christoph Waltz won the supporting actor award, gave a calm, thoughtful speech and pretty much ensured we'd be losing the office pool.
Did You Remember to Say Thank You: The winners of both animated awards made sure to thank their kids, who in today's Hollywood are way more powerful than agents. Plus, children don't scream and cry nearly as much.
Worst Loss: The Academy only nominated The Avengers for one film, but they at least allowed them to get on stage and present the award to the film that beat them. That's some super villain stuff right there.
Best New Element: Instead of playing off long-winded speeches with gently swelling music, this year's awards introduced the theme from Jaws to shut down speeches, and well, it worked.
Worst New Element: Lumping the nine Best Picture nominees into three groups was good math, but it made a mess for the presenters to introduce and was confusing to the audience, who didn't know where or when to clap.
2013 Oscars Show, Les Miserables Cast, Anne Hathaway, Hugh Jackman, Russell Crow, Amanda Seyfried

Big Rewindable Moment: All those musical numbers from past films had us reliving winners from Oscars past, or at least wondering if Chicago had really come out this year. Nothing celebrates film acting like making movie stars perform like Broadway stars. (That said, the numbers were actually quite good—and Adele was probably best of all—if just overlong in the end.)
Joy of Seth? What do you think of MacFarlane—funny, foul or flat?
Biggest Shocker: A tie! The sound editing category awarded Oscars to Zero Dark Thirtyand Skyfall. Also, shocking? Both winning teams had guys with super-long blond hair. Weird.
Least ShockingAnne Hathaway won the supporting actress award, which was as unsurprising as the fate of her character in Les Misérables.

Oscars 2013 Show, Daniel Radcliffe, Kristen Stewart

Less Said: Sure, MacFarlane took some shots at big stars from Affleck to George Clooneyto every woman in that boob song, but what was really interesting was when he didn't take a shot at someone, like presenter John Travolta, or just introduced a category with no added zinger.
Most Successful: The stars of Harry Potter and the Twilight franchise, Daniel Radcliffeand Kristen Stewart, handed out a gold statuette, which ensured that tweens would recognize at least two stars tonight.
To Die For: The "In Memoriam" segment was, thankfully, not funny.
Long PauseRenée Zellweger looked dynamite onstage with her Chicago (yes, again!) costars, but weirdly didn't read the winner when Richard Gere held the open envelope out for her (but Queen Latifah jumped in and did it).
Michelle Obama
Biggest Surprise: Not only did Ben Affleck not win the Best Direction award, neither didSteven SpielbergAng Lee won, continuing Life of Pi's late-breaking success story.
Best Audience Reaction: As Jamie Foxx and Kerry Washington strolled onstage, a woman in the audience leaned to her friend and clearly mouthed, "Gorgeous."

2013 Oscars Trend Alert! Messy Updos on Naomi Watts and Nicole Kidman

Oscars 2013, Naomi Watts, Amanda Seyfried, Nicole Kidman
Bringing new meaning to the term hot mess, stars sizzled in sexy disheveled updos at the 2013 Oscars!
While a few stars, including Reese Witherspoon and Jessica Chastain, embraced the pristine side parts and picture-perfect retro curls we've seen at recent award shows like the2013 Golden Globes, fuss-free hairstyles definitely dominated the 2013 Oscars red carpet. And given the fact that many a star can fall victim to stiff, matronly updos during awards season, we couldn't be happier with the perfectly imperfect hair trend!
Naomi Watts and Amanda Seyfried added edge to their gorgeous gowns with updos featuring stylish stray strands. Similarly, Nicole Kidman went for laid back locks with soft, face-framing tendrils that gave that gave off a nice-and-natural vibe.
Oscars 2013, Jenna Dewan, Amy Adams, Jennifer Garner
Jennifer Garner also rocked loose curls together with her chic chignon, while Amy Adamswas perfectly happy letting strands of hair slip away from her stunning twisted updo. Meanwhile, Jenna Dewan worked a hairstyle that featured both face-framing locks and a teased textured updo.
We're fans of the bedhead made beautiful style that gives off a glamorous, not-trying-too-hard look.
But what do you think of these messy updos? Tell us in the comments!

Anne Hathaway's Oscar Nipples an Instant Twitter Hit, Overshadow Side Boob

Anne Hathaway, Oscars 2013
Well, you can't win 'em all.
While Anne Hathaway looked poised and lovely on the Oscars red carpet, some of those watching at home couldn't help but be mesmerized by the nipple action poking through her satiny Prada gown. (Which is ironic, considering she's up for BestSupporting Actress, people.)
So, from the same peanut gallery that brought you @AngiesRightLeg last year, so was born @HathawayNipple, or AnneHathawayNipples, tonight.
"#LesNipplerables," tweeted the winner of the 2013 Oscar for best original hashtag.
But the wardrobe dysfunction didn't stop there!
Hathaway had a healthy dose of side boob peeking out the sides of her halter-style gown, as well. That does not appear to have taken on a life of its own just yet.

Jennifer Lawrence Flips Off Oscar Press Room After Best Actress Win

Jennifer LawrenceSeriously, at this point is there anyone who isn't completely charmed by newly minted Oscar winner Jennifer Lawrence?
The Silver Linings Playbook star easily stole the night, from her arm-pumping reaction during Seth MacFarlane's monologue to herGIF-worthy expressions to her stairway tumble and, of course, her taking home the gold statuette for Best Actress.
But her most remembered move of the night just may be what happened after the cameras stopped rolling. Well, the moving cameras, anyway.
Because that's when she flipped the bird.
Why did it happen? Well, why not.

But happen it did, and when the 22-year-old made her way back to the press room after her win, she cheekily and good-naturedly gave the old one-fingered salute to a member of the crowd.

Jennifer LawrenceShe clearly realized after the fact that her flip-off was given in front of a room full of media, some of whom had, you know, cameras, and her reaction to that realization was just as priceless as any that came before.
Never change, J.Law. Never change.

Anne Hathaway Celebrates With a Smile and Other Candid Moments

Anne Hathaway, Adam ShulmanLike many awards shows, often some of the best stuff never gets televised. And that, of course, was true on Sunday night when the stars were out and about following the 2013 Oscars as well.
Take Anne Hathaway, for instance, who shared a joyous moment with husband Adam Shulman, as they celebrated her Best Supporting Actress win at the famed Governors Ball.
The sight of these two with their infectious grins certainly seems to back up what theLes Misérables star said to him upon accepting her statuette: "By far and away, the greatest moment of my life was the one when you walked into it."

A Clean Sweep?

One day before The Oscars, Jennifer Lawrence took home Best Actress at the 2013 Film Independent Spirit Awards for her role in Silver Linings Playbook.

NATALIE PORTMAN SEES PINK FOR DIOR

The French fashion house has pulled out all the stops to launch its new Miss Dior campaign starring Natalie Portman. Every day, sequences that last a few dozen seconds are revealed. Two new teasers have been released in which the American actress can be seen passionately kissing a handsome stranger. Fresh, dazzling and natural are the words that best describe Natalie Portman in this new ad campaign. The American actress -- who is wearing a Dior Couture dress by Raf Simons -- curls up against a wall of roses as well as in a handsome young man's arms.  The French luxury brand asked American Sofia Coppola to direct this new film called "La Vie en Rose."

WITH RIHANNA MAC TEAMS UP

Barbadian singer Rihanna is having a moment in the spotlight. Hot on the heels of her first fashion line comes the news that the R&B star will be a "creative partner" with the cosmetics brand for a series of 2013 product releases. The RiRi Hearts MAC collection is a "no-brainer" according to Rihanna, who told WWD that she is a long-standing fan of the brand:

"I've been using MAC on tour for such a long time it was a natural fit for me. I have always loved makeup, and I always said that if I do it, I want to do it with a credible brand."

The first release will be a lipstick inspired by Rihanna's favorite shade, MAC's Ruby Woo. Remixed into a new tone, RiRi Woo will be unveiled at a pop-up MAC store at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn on May 4, when Rihanna hits New York City on her Diamonds tour.

This is the first time that MAC has committed to a multi-product partnership with a celebrity or company: "We always say that MAC likes to go on a date but doesn't really want to go into a relationship," explained John Demsey, of MAC owner Estée Lauder Cosmetics. In fact, "this relationship with Rihanna is a long-term one that involves the development of four distinct color initiatives," he added.

After appearing at the Rihanna concerts, RiRi Woo will also be sold online, and it will be followed by an online-only summer collection (featuring two extra lipsticks, a Lustre Drops shade and a powder blusher). Fall and holiday collections will hit physical MAC locations later in the year, further expanding the collection with more shades of lipstick, false eyelashes, and nail polish.

The campaign for the fall and holiday collections was shot by famed fashion duo Mert Alas and Marcus Piggot. The singer's tweet back in January about her "new #topsecret ad campaign!!!" led many to suspect she was working with Chanel, but the truth is now clear -- it was MAC all along.

This is far from Rihanna's first brand collaboration. "RiRi" has previously released three perfumes (Nude, Reb'l Fleur and Rebelle) and was one of the stars of the latest London Fashion Week, with her '90s-style collection designed with River Island set to hit stores on March 5. The singer also worked on a capsule collection with Armani Jeans back in 2011.

MAC has previously collaborated with singer Nicky Minaj on two lipsticks as well as with Lady Gaga and fashion brand Rodarte, among others.
